Baker Knapp & Tubbs, Inc., a high-end manufacturer of traditional and contemporary furnishings, offers a broad spectrum of designs for the ever-changing home. Clifford Public relations was retained to generate local and national media coverage for the opening of Baker's Greenwich, CT store.
Bernhardt Design
A respected leader in American design, Bernhardt Design blurs the lines between traditional classifications of contract and residential furnishings. Clifford Public Relations worked with Bernhardt for four years, initially re-branding the company and repositioning it within the design community. Bernhardt Design leads the industry in new product design, innovative use of materials and cutting-edge processes. Striving to challenge conventional concepts of design, Bernhardt Design is known for partnering with exceptional designers from across the U.S. and around the world, including Ross Lovegrove, Christopher Ciccone, and Gerry Taylor. Over the course of its work with Bernhardt, Clifford Public Relations coordinated the successful launch of Lovegrove's Go chair and Christian Biecher's Abra collection.
Chilewich Design
Chilewich home accessories are innovative leaders in the category. Clifford Public Relations worked with Sandy Chilewich shortly after she formed her company and developed a pr/marketing campaign to promote her first design — the now famous Raybowl. We then developed a PR platform for her newer designs that helped establish the company and Sandy as fixture in contemporary product design.
Donna Karan Home Collection
Donna Karan's Home Collection and DKNY LIFE represented the designer's move into home furnishings. Clifford Public Relations was retained to create awareness of the DKNY LIFE brand within the editorial community by hosting events and securing placements in a wide variety of lifestyle publications.
Form & Function
Form and Function offered consumers an innovative approach to design retailing. The store showcased a wide array of products, from industrial design-inspired lighting and electronics to ceramics/pottery, flatware, glassware, jewelry and furniture. Clifford PR was hired to launch the store in New York's Tribeca.
GoodHome
GoodHome (www.goodhome.com) was a premier home decorating website that offered stylish home furnishings and accessories with online decorating tools. The company's proprietary Window Shopping(SM) and iDecorate(SM) technologies provided consumers with a new experience in selecting and purchasing home furnishings. Clifford PR was retained to launch the iDecorate component of GoodHome and to increase the company's visibility to trade and consumer media.
Jeffco Furniture
Jeffco Furniture was established in 1969 with one primary goal: To marry innovative, American design know-how with old-world craftsmanship and commitment to quality. Run under the steady and loving hands of Jeff and Paula Gaynor, the company is guided by four simple tenants that have ensured the success of the company and its designs for over 30 years — impassioned, meticulous, expressive and timely.

Renowned for its beautiful and distinctive furnishings, from sofas and lounge chairs to elegant dining tables and armoires, Jeffco is committed to ensuring that each collection reflects the company's respect for tradition and its dedication to design integrity and durability. Its modern heirlooms are destined to impart character and comfort in homes for generations to come.

CASE STUDY
J. Robert Scott
J. Robert Scott is an international force in the design world. A luxury home furnishings brand, J. Robert Scott is known as the standard-bearer in the luxury textile and home furnishings market. Founded and led by design legend Sally Sirkin Lewis, the company is represented in every major American market and maintains its own showrooms in New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago and London, and plans for expansion across Europe. The furniture, textile, and accessory collections are extensive and designed for residential, corporate, aircraft, yachting and hospitality uses. Clifford Public Relations worked with J. Robert Scott and Sally Sirkin Lewis for over five years promoting her vast collections and designs to the media as well as to consumers, designers and architects.

CASE STUDY
Jamson Whyte
The furniture design company Jamson Whyte offers unique antiques and artifacts as well as individually designed pieces from Indonesia, India, and Asia. Clifford PR was retained to launch the opening of Jamson Whyte's San Francisco location and we continue to promote the New York store and to organize events and exhibits that travel to Jamson Whyte locations.
Johnson & Hicks
Johnson & Hicks is a distinctive furniture retailer in the heart of Tribeca's vibrant design district. The store carries a large inventory of early to mid-20th century furniture and accessories culled from owner Lisa Weimer's trips to Europe and across the US. While best described as eclectic and elegant, Johnson & Hicks does have a distinct specialty: the store has one of New York's most impressive collections of pieces from the Vienna Secession period. Clifford PR was hired to launch the store to the media, the trade, and the design-savvy consumer.
Martin Pierce Furnishings
Martin Pierce Furnishings is a Los Angeles-based specialty furnishings company that creates handcrafted, museum-caliber case goods and upholstered pieces. All designs are limited production, original and copyrighted and all japanned chinoiserie pieces are signed and numbered. The collection is available to the trade at eight showrooms nationwide. Paris Ceramics
Paris Ceramics, founded in 1982, is the premier brand in the category of upscale stone, tile, and mosaics. Clifford PR was retained to grow awareness of the Paris Ceramics brand through regional and national outreach.
Pranich and Associates
Pranich & Associates is the largest multi-line home furnishings showroom on the East Coast. With showrooms in Palm Beach, New York, Dania and Chicago, Pranich & Associates represents more than 60 major lines of furniture, fabrics and accessories. Clifford Public Relations was retained to represent Pranich and many of its lines to the media.
R 20th Century Design
R 20th Century in Manhattan specializes in furniture, lighting and objects of the Modern Movement from America, Scandinavia and continental Europe. From the well-known designs of Charles and Ray Eames, Alvar Aalto, Arne Jacobsen, and Florence Knoll, to the lesser known, but equally as innovative designs of Ilmari Tapiovaara, Greta Grossman, and Cees Braakman, R is dedicated to locating, promoting and presenting the finest designs of the post World War II era. The store also features a gallery dedicated to showcasing designers/artists, manufacturers and design companies.
Tesoro
Melrose Avenue home design boutique Tesoro is a destination for Los Angeles' design savvy. The store is filled with one-of-a-kind pieces from artists around the world, including British artist Adam Aaronson's exquisite fused glass vases. From candles to serving trays to pewter desk sets, Tesoro is considered a must-visit store for unique accessories for the home. Clifford PR helped to promote Tesoro as a design destination, Tesoro's products, and Tara Riceberg, the proprietress, as an entertaining guru.
The Wicker Works
Known for its clean, classic design and signature use of materials, Wicker Works made a name for itself and its founder Peter Rocchia by virtually reinventing the nation's concept of home furnishings. Their new lines expand on the company's rich history of pushing the limits of classic design. Clifford PR was retained to re-launch the corporate brand and unveil several new product lines and collections to the media and end consumer.
Vieux Carré
Vieux Carré is a New Orleans-inspired furniture store located in New York City's West Village. The store sells primarily French and French-influenced antique furniture, lighting, and accessories. Clifford Public Relations was brought on to launch the store in late summer 2002.
Zona
Zona was a home furnishings retailer in New York's SoHo neighborhood that pioneered the neighborhood as a national retail destination and revolutionized the home furnishings industry. For almost twenty years, Zona set the bar with its highly theatrical and uniquely sensorial approach to merchandising and visual display. Clifford Public Relations initially promoted Mr. Sagar's highly acclaimed home design book, Zona Home. Our successful campaign evolved to encompass promoting the entire Zona brand, including promoting all stores (nationally and internationally) including launching their flagship Japanese store in Kobe.
Arredo, Inc.
Arredo, Inc. (www.arredoUSA.com) offers the best in high end Italian furniture and accessories for the residential, commercial, hospitality, and marine sectors. Arredo's collections come exclusively from Vivendum, a new consortium of seven Italian manufacturers with more than 10,000 complementary products. Arredo also serves as a design studio, offering consultation services and the opportunity for any client to customize their products according to their specific needs. Clifford PR was brought on to launch Arredo in Spring 2003.
Elite Leather
Elite Leather (www.eliteleather.com), one of America's leading manufacturers of leather furniture, hired Clifford PR to help raise awareness among consumers for the 45-year-old brand. Elite's product offering includes sofas, chairs, sectionals and beds. Its line is manufactured in Southern California and carried in major department stores including Bloomingdales and Marshall Field's as well as exclusive leather specialty stores. Elite Leather is a multi-generational, family-owned and -operated business.
Berkeley Mills
Launched in 1988 by Founding Craftsmen Gene Agress and Dave Kent, Berkeley Mills (www.berkeleymills.com) marries centuries-old woodworking techniques with the most sophisticated tools available to create exquisite, hand-crafted wood furnishings. The company's five collections, inspired by the tradition of architects/designers Greene & Greene, Stickley, and Frank Lloyd Wright, celebrate the Arts & Crafts vision of integrating art into daily life as well as the elegant simplicity of Asian design. Through their commitment to creating residential and commercial work of enduring design, quality and environmental sustainability, Berkeley Mills has earned an international reputation that sees their pieces shipped from New York to Tokyo to London, as well as a devoted clientele of the global elite that regularly visits their Berkeley showroom.
Notus
Notus gallery is the first store in the country to specialize in Brazilian Colonial Antiques (www.notusarts.com). Located in Tribeca's eclectic design district, the large, serene space features a rotating selection of stunning hardwood furniture dating from the 17th to 19th centuries. As collectors are fast discovering, the quality, value, and style of these pieces often eclipse their European counterparts. The rich woods and simple lines of Brazilian Colonial furniture complement a variety of interiors, making Notus a destination for many of New York's top designers. Owners Stephen Hurrell and Julie Sherlock travel to Brazil on a regular basis in search of treasures for the gallery.

Richard Brustlin
For over 30 years, Richard Brustlin (www.bwdesigndirect.com) has been creating exquisite reproduction and contemporary furniture from his Los Angeles-based workshop. In 2004, Brustlin opened a new showroom along Melrose Avenue's celebrated design district. The showroom, DAWN, illustrates Brustlin's signature eclecticism when it comes to furnishings, mingling Ming Dynasty Chinese pottery with streamlined, modern pieces. Clifford PR was hired to help promote DAWN and to increase Brustlin's profile among designers and discerning customers.
Europe by Net
Europe by Net (www.europebynet.com) is an online shopping destination for design-savvy consumers, offering luxury European furniture and accessories at extremely competitive prices. Founded in 1999, it is now the world's largest online resource for designer furniture, shipping exquisite traditional and contemporary furniture all over the world. Clifford PR has been retained to create brand awareness in the U.S. for this rapidly growing London-based company.
GlucksteinHome & GlucksteinDesign
GlucksteinDesign offers a complete range of upscale interior design, planning, and project management services to high-end residential and commercial projects in Canada, New York, Palm Beach, Miami, Aspen, and the Bermudas. GlucksteinHome is an affordable collection of designer-driven home furnishings detailed to reflect consumerÕs lifestyle choice rather than short-lived trends. Most recently, Brian Gluckstein designed an extensive home furnishings and accessories line for 160 HudsonÕs Bay department stores throughout Canada -- his collection included upholstery, bed linens, bath towels, home accents, lighting, dinnerware and tabletop. Clifford PR is charged with raising the profile of the brand and designer in the U.S., and facilitating future licensing agreements.
Ligne Roset
Ligne Roset, a company rich in heritage, has over the course of more than a century established itself as a European business synonymous with contemporary furniture design. The company works with a collective of designers including famous independents. Ligne Roset designs and manufactures furniture and home accessories/tabletop items. Clifford PR has been charged with national PR, dealer relations and special projects.

Matouk is a premier high-end luxury bed linen company. Clifford PR has been charged with promoting their new licensing partnership with Lulu de Kwiatkowski, founder and chief designer of Lulu DK Fabrics.
Michael Berman Limited
Michael Berman creates a modern-chic line of home furnishings and accessories, and is an award-winning interior designer. CPR is charged with building awareness for Michael Berman Limited by promoting his interior projects (residential and commercial), the furniture line and new licensing agreements/products that result.
Tufenkian Rugs
Luxury manufacturer of Tibetan and Armenian decorative rugs. Wired currently operates three showrooms in the U.S.: Los Angeles, CA, Dania Beach, FL, and New York, NY. CPR was retained to launch the NY showroom as well as to handle ongoing media relations for the company.
